Abstract: To study the influences of defects in fillet welds of T-joints on their performance, a full factorial experiment was conducted on models of optically active material. After processing the experimental data and checking the model for adequacy, were obtained the regression equations. To verify the conclusions obtained on photoelastic models, were tested samples of ordinary T-beam welded compounds of the AMG 6 alloy. It was found that the influences of the pore on the stress state and bearing capacity of the joints depends on its size and position. The work also found that horizontal non-fusion reduces the bearing capacity of the fillet weld much more than vertical. In the process of welding, it is necessary to pay the main attention to the nonfusion of the edge of the joined sheet.
Key words: defects, fillet weld, pores, non-fusion at the root of the seam, bearing capacity.
