Abstract: The article presents two-dimensional mathematical model of the gas filtration process in porous media and numerical calculation algorithm for analyzing and predicting this process by the method of coordinate splitting. Based on this numerical algorithm, software has been created and series of computational experiments is presented. An assessment of its efficiency is given in comparison with the calculation algorithm by the method of alternating directions.
