Abstract: The article presents data on the evaluation of the collection of the gene pool of spring soft wheat in the Akmola region on the basis of the mass fraction of protein in grain. The collection was based on samples of spring soft wheat from Kazakhstan and Russia. Based on this feature, samples of interest for inclusion in the breeding process as a starting material for the creation of high-quality and locally adapted varieties have been identified.
