Abstract: In the article, the groups of the phraseology of the Azerbaijani language are given according to the content. Among those groups, the phraseology of culinary is studied from the phraseology of profession. The lexical units expressing the components that make up culinary phraseology are researched. Words related to the profession of culinary and verbs related to nutrition are shown to constitute culinary phraseology. It is determined that the main components that form the culinary phraseology are the words denoting the names of spices, fruits, vegetables, meat products, dairy products, kitchen utensils, flour products and dishes. Examples of culinary phraseology are given and explained. Culinary phraseology itself is divided into two parts, based on the fact that one of the two words in the phraseological unit is expressed by a word related to the culinary profession, and the second word is expressed by a word not related to the culinary profession. There is substantially culinary phraseology and culinary phraseology used together with other content groups. Examples of substantially culinary phraseology and culinary phraseology used together with other content groups.are also provided.
