Abstract: Currently, the COVID-19 coronavirus epidemic has devastated the Chinese economy and is spreading around the world. The nature of the infection and its economic consequences remain highly unpredictable, making it difficult to develop a policy that is an effective solution for macroeconomic policy. In order to mitigate the negative economic consequences, the article discusses some of the proposed measures and strategies that will help individuals and businesses, as well as the state, deal with the consequences of COVID-19. The current study begins with an analysis of the points of view of world experts, in particular economists in the US, who have proposed a number of measures that will benefit the entire economy in uncertain times. The article considers some areas of state support in overcoming the consequences of the global crisis in the practice of the Republic of Uzbekistan. These scenarios demonstrate the scale of costs that can be avoided by increasing investment in social support programs.

Key words: anti-crisis measures, business, COVID-19, pandemic, policy, social programs, economic activity.
