Abstract: This scientific article highlights the problem of studying ancient relics, beliefs, rituals and cults of the Karakalpaks associated with the cult role of the dog, preserved in mythology and folklore, which existed until recently among the people. The form of dog worship is analyzed; the historical and cultural relations of the Karakalpaks with other peoples are studied to establish common patterns in the history of religious beliefs associated with the dog cult among the Karakalpaks.
