Abstract: This paper presents the modelling of longitudinal vehicle dynamics, using vehicle dynamic and powertrain. Longitudinal vehicle dynamic plays key part in analyzing vehicle motions during increasing speeds and using brake systems. Computer model was developed in Matlab and CarSim, taking in the account all key characteristics of vehicle dynamic and powertrain. During the simulation vehicle speed and wheel speed were analyzed, considering slip ratio. The results show similarities between Matlab and CarSim models.
