Abstract: The theory of unsteady vibrations of a three-layer elastic plate is developed on the basis of a plane formulation of the problem on the basis of exact solutions of the equations of the linear theory of elasticity in transformations. Equations of transverse vibrations of a three-layer plate are obtained with respect to two auxiliary functions, which are the main parts of the displacements of some intermediate surface of the middle layer. An algorithm is proposed that makes it possible to unambiguously determine the stress-strain state of an arbitrary layer of the plate from the field of the sought-for functions.
