Abstract: The article describes the advantages and possible risks of distance learning in the system of higher professional education. The applications of the Zoom online platform as a replacement for traditional training during a pandemic are analyzed. The article shows the advantages of using the Zoom platform for organizing video conferencing, webinars in the process of teaching journalism subjects.
