Abstract: The article studies the conditions for obtaining nitrogen-, oxygen-containing sorbent based on the polycondensation reaction of urea, formaldehyde and 2-aminopentanedioic acid, as well as urea, formaldehyde and amino succinic acid. The optimal conditions for the synthesis of the sorbent were determined and studies were carried out on the influence of the molar ratios of the starting substances on the composition and physicochemical properties of the synthesized sorbent. The values of the specific volume, static exchange capacity of the synthesized sorbent are investigated, and the presumptive structure and reactions of sorbent formation are proposed based on the results of IR spectroscopy.

Key words: sorbent, polycondensation, urea, formaldehyde, 2-aminopentanedioic acid, humidity, specific volume, static exchange capacity.
